Conditions of Rental
1. The Tenant is responsible and shall dispose from the chalet all rubbish, and other waste in a clean and safe manner. One pre-paid council rubbish bag will be provide upon check-in. All rubbish can be disposed at the Ohakune Recycling Transfer Station. If rubbish or personal belongings are required to be removed from the premises after the Tenant has vacated, a $25 fee will be charged to the bond.
2a. The Tenant shall not deliberately or negligently destroy, deface, damage, impair, or remove any part of the premises and/or chattels or knowingly permit any person to do so.
2b. The Tenant acknowledges responsibility for any damages caused by their negligence and that of their guests or invitees.
3. The Tenant shall not create excessive noise, nuisance and/or conduct himself in a manner that will disturb his neighbors or surroundings dwellings.
4. The Tenant shall not use or distribute illegal substances on the premises.
5a.The Tenant shall use customary diligence in care of the Premises, and ensure the Premises is left clean and tidy.
5b. Upon completion of the tenant’s rental term, the chalet will be checked for any damages and/or losses. Failure to leave the premises in a tidy and secure manner will incur a fee to reinstate the premises.
6. The Tenant agrees that no pet shall be brought onto the Premises (even temporarily) without the express written permission of the agent and/or owner. If a pet has been in the Premises at any time during the Tenants occupancy without the agent and/or owners consent, a charge may be made for de-fleaing, deodorizing and or shampooing, and/or damages occasioned by the pet
7.The Tenant will ensure the chalet is secure upon vacating the premises at the end of the rental period.
8.The Tenant shall not allow more guests to sleep at the premises other than the number specified on the booking agreement. Failure to comply with this condition will result in an immediate eviction.
9. The Bond is a guarantee the return of the Premises to agent in the same or better condition as when accepted by the Tenant. If any provision of this rental agreement is violated, the bond will be used to recover any loss. The Bond is to indemnify the Agent against damage and/or loss of value as a result of the Tenants action, mistake or inaction during the term of occupancy.
10. No refunds for early departure.
11. The Tenant warrants that he/she will meet the above conditions in every aspect and acknowledges that failure to perform the obligations herein stipulated will be considered grounds for termination of this agreement and loss of any or all bonds and payments.
12. The Tenant shall vacate the premises and deliver the keys to the office of Ohakune Chalets by 10am. Any late check-outs can incur a $50 fee and is at the sole direction of Ohakune Chalets.
13. Tenant Insurance: The Tenant agrees to hold the owner and/or Agent harmless from any liability by reason of personal injury and for property damage occurring on or about or connected with Premises or resulting from the Tenant use thereof. The Tenant hereby acknowledges this and agrees to make no such claims for any losses or damages against the Agent and/or owner. The Tenant agrees to purchase Tenants Insurance at their own expense sufficient to cover themselves and their property from damage or injury cause by fire, theft, burglary, breakage, and electrical connections and hereby relieves the agent of all risks that my be insured there under. They acknowledge that if they fail to procure such insurance, it is their responsibility and they alone shall bear the consequences.

Booking Policy
To hold and secure a booking, a 10% deposit is required.
To confirm the booking, the remaining balance must be paid before 7 days of the intended stay.

Cancellation Policy
To ensure minimum loss the following Cancellation Policy applies:
Any cancellation received on or before 7 days prior to the commencement of the stay will result in a loss of the 10% deposit given at the time of the booking.
No refund on all money paid will be given to any cancellation received less then 7 days prior to the intended stay.
